Talisker 30 Year Old, a rare annual selection expression, is re-released in carefully limited quantities. The expression celebrates the summit of Skye, which reveals the true magnificence of the island. The Cuillin mountains stretch into the distance, tumbling towards the sea. The peaks pierce the sky above, their power reflected in Loch Coruisk below.
As the pinnacle of Skye, Talisker 30 Year Old captures the very essence of the wild island and is offered in its purest form; annually varying refill casks, non-coloured and non-chill filtered, and bottled at natural cask strength. An elegant and complex expression with Talisker hallmarks of pepper and smoke in a softer and more subtle way.

Tasting Notes
Nose:
Vanilla, spice and a grapey, red wine note with faint smoke behind. Adding water softens things and adds a spicy maritime note.
Palate:
Lively yet mature delight, like the favourite uncle you don’t see very often. Immediately sweet, rich, peppery and hot, with just the right amount of balancing bitterness and salt with no rough edges. An underlying woody smokiness brings everything together.
Finish:
Quite long and warming, gently drying, with a hint of smoke in the moreish maritime aftertaste.
