The Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare series explores very rare whiskies within the Johnnie Walker Blue Label reserves. Each limited edition release offers a fleeting opportunity to savour the depth of flavour of whiskies from “ghost” distilleries that have long-since closed, but whose spirit still lives on in the dwindling stocks of their maturing Scotch.
Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Port Dundas is the fifth release in the series and is handcrafted using just eight of the rarest whiskies from the unparalleled Johnnie Walker reserves.
At the heart of this new release are exceptional whiskies from the “ghost” distillery of Port Dundas, known for its delicate, fragrant wood spice character.
Tasting Notes
Creamy, wood notes from Port Dundas embrace the vanilla and soft smoke from the “ghost” whiskies of Cambus and original stocks of Brora. Other very rare whiskies from Cameronbridge and Glenkinchie reveal notes of spiced apples alongside Clynelish, Dailuaine and Auchroisk, bringing aromas of peaches and berries.
